sports has become--professionalism with unfettered free agency. The courts, coupled with obscene amount of money that has been infused into the system.

Not certain what, if anything can be done at this point. The "genie is out of the bottle." Any efforts to regulate by the NCAA, the conferences or any other governing entity would likely be struck down by the courts, if recent judicial precedent holds true.
