Outside of McEwain, their last three coaches were basically fired after one bad or mediocre season even though they all had fairly good overall records.

This is where fanbases hurt themselves long term. They are quick to pressure the AD to fire a good coach quickly and after 2 or 3 of those, you end up with Billy Napier and a tough job selling the school to a big time coach.
