negotiating table & had an agreement with Ukraine to do so, but the US, UK & NATO told Ukraine to back out of the deal. Unfortunately, they did so. Now many more thousands have died, billions and billions in ammo, homes, businesses and infrastructure have been blown to smithereens. Russia has taken more territory. Now the beaten kid lashes out and punches the guy about to let him go in the mouth... and then wants mercy.

The choices now are to continue escalating, potentially to the level of a nuclear war, to continue the deadly grinding up of Ukraine's citizenry and infrastructure with no hope of ever winning or getting anything back in return, or to negotiate.

Do you see any other choices?
