Biden just confirmed his 200th judge.

27% were black (vs 5% of lawyers)
37% were white (vs 80% of lawyers)
14% were Asian (vs 5.5% of lawyers)
15% were Hispanic (vs 6% of lawyers)

Was this based on merit? Let's find out:

LSAT score average, by race:

Whites: 153
Asians: 153
Latino: 146
Black: 142

But wait. It gets even more interesting.

Among the “elite scorers” (170 or above), 82.5% were white, 15.6% Asian, 1.6% Hispanic, & 0.3% were black.
