for the first time under Pinkel, our QB play let us down.

Maty Mauk, especially with his off-field problems, simply wasn't good enough. He was ok in 2014, but he wasn't why we were winning (Hansbrough and Murphy combining for 2000 rushing yards, plus a STOUT defense). He fell apart in 2015, and Drew wasn't ready.

2016 was such a nightmare. We had nothing on defense. The only D1 team we held under 21 was Vanderbilt. 6 games we gave up 31 or more.

It's been a climb to get back. Hopefully we're up again for awhile.
