And not just during 2020-2022 when Covid was still a factor. There's a lot of factors to it.
And the enrollment cliff is coming in a couple of years, because starting in around 2008 there were A LOT less births happening thanks in large part to the housing market crash. Go forward 18 years, there are A LOT less graduating high school seniors that colleges are competing for. Schools like Mizzou won't feel it as much, but small schools having to compete for those limited resources are going to struggle mightily.
