other than people mentioning it on a message board in a context like this.

I don't think it gets mentioned on TV by announcers during games, I haven't heard it come up in interviews with coaches, it's not referenced in political videos, etc.

I expect most people outside of Mizzou don't even remember it was a thing, and I bet most people attached to Mizzou barely think about it. I think once similarly contrived instances started happening at other campuses, people realized "Oh...this isn't actually a problem at Mizzou, this is a cultural flashpoint."
