I grabbed the gun because around the corner a man was holding mom and her two toddler children at gunpoint threatening to shoot them. He had already fired several shots at passersby. I showed up with the gun I had grabbed, confronted him, and he backed off and all were safe.

Should I be charged with theft? Would that be proper law and order in your book?
