it around. I’m just telling you he won’t get that chance. Of course some transfer portal miracle could happen, but it certainly didn’t happen this season. I like Gates and I think he sincerely cares for his players. I also think he isn’t a bad in-game coach. As much as I may like him, he absolutely failed at a historic level in putting together a roster for this season. Many may compare Gates to Haith…inherited talented players and had a promising first season only to crater the program. However I think the better comparison is Quin Synder. Gates was not ready for this level. I would not be at all surprised if he finds success later in his career, but he was too young and inexperienced for this level.
