smoked cigarettes, but information changed behavior - almose socially as much as anything else. The exact same process that big tobacco used to dilute the facts of the health dangers os smoking were picked up by big oil to muddy the waters on the dangers of fossil fuels. Perhaps it will be social pressures that will influence change here too.
Already folks turn to hybrids and EVs, not widespread yet but gettingt here. Costs come down with time and more widespread adoption and time. The absurdity of a comouter in every home became the reality of a computer in every pocket.
