I'm giving him credit for elevating the program to get to the point compared to when he took over we were not competitive at all.

I think when people are evaluating a coach it's a mistake to simply look at W-L. That is clearly the most important part and I am not suggesting otherwise. But I am saying that the trajectory was moving in the right direction. This year the results finally caught up. Part of it was winning some close games we lost last year (kstate, florida, as 2 examples). Part of is having a healthy, 2nd year starter compared to an injured 1st year starter. Part of it the emergence of Schrader, who is definitely a better RB this year.
