By bringing in a new assistant, but that was not his offense and he couldn’t build to it.

I’ve been telling you the same thing for over a decade on this guy and I have always been right. I told you we never should’ve hired him, and I was right. I told you he would never make a run in the NCAA tournament at Mizzou, and I was right.
The only hint of success he had at Mizzou was 100% due to the fact that the Porter boys were dying to come home and willing to play for any coach they had the slightest bit of respect for and that got him enough attention to draw in a couple of more players until recruits started to realize that he could not coach them up and get them anywhere.

I will defend him just enough to say that he wasn’t lazy, like so many people here claim, he was just incompetent.
