I don’t know why this so hard.
Creating a combined college football landscape (with B12) would require many schools to take a smaller payday. Therefore, I don’t see it happening. Bleeding money media isn’t overpaying to make say kstate happy at the expense of Bama. It either makes financial sense or it will not work.
The answer to all questions, and or driver, is money and what maximizes it (with some concessions made to things like institutional fit, academic standing/AAU and location, at least for pod grouping sense and individual conference culture). But none of that matters if the money doesn’t work.
