Those kids are basically voiding scholarships and ending their academic and scholastic playing careers for many of them.

It doesn't say how they defined transferring up, lateral, or down. If someone moves from a major conference program to a Big 12 school is that transferring down? What about a Big 12 school to a program like Gonzaga?
