Why would a group of people,(those who fund and administrate Mizzou athletic programs), who have never lifted a finger to help or improve anything baseball related suddenly go the all in on great program leading to championships route?

I would be floored if they do anything more than the absolute minimum in this coach changing process - which I believe they believe will provide some needed public perception that they care about competing well in this league. They don't IMO and that is where it will all settle out again in about 3 or 4 years.
