35 or so, married with two kids. Very liberal. Very intelligent.
We talked about Elon musk and Twitter, and where musk is on the ideological spectrum. We seemed to settle on some mix of capitalist and libertarian with a bent towards the first amendment.
He said that people should allowed to express their opinions as long as they are factual. I said, the determination of what is factual is pivotal, and may depend on the ideology of the person making that judgment. He thought for a second and then agreed.
We talked about the Hunter Biden thing , he was very very unfamiliar with it. Surprisingly so.
I said that it can be argued that there is no proof of his corruption, but it cannot be argued credibly in my opinion, that there is no evidence of his corruption. I mentioned the red flags at the banks, the bobilinski testimony, the Photographs of whispering Joe with his communist business partners.
The liberal argued that if this is true, then it should be investigated. This is after I had suggested that not investigating this is clear evidence of corruption.
He was also not familiar with Facebook being approached by the FBI , and encouraged to censor certain opinions.
A very bright man, yet very ignorant of anything other than one side of issues. Educable and seemingly willing and curious to know more. But thus far in a liberal bubble.
The rest of the guests were on pins and needles as we discussed this. Perfectly civil, not loud, no name-calling, and no belligerence at all.
Good time, talking with an intelligent person with a different opinion and different informational foundation.
