It's actually going to be the opposite, though things may relatively slow down due to the cold. Russians don't have proper gear, and food and ammo supplies have been cut. That's why they retreated to start with as Ukrainian forces were surrounding them, moving closer and closer.

Most of the remaining Russian forces are poorly trained and equipped, and have very poor morale. Ukraine knows what's going on. That's part of the reason why these offensives have have been extremely effective. Ukraine is also moving up in the north, relentlessly gaining ground.
