MU sports and Gen X have had a turbulent relationship.
Started out with MU football being solid in mid 70s, early 80s as little kids only to implode for 12 years. And by implode I mean ass blasting losses to Okie, Nub and a few other bluebloods.
Had a couple of fun years in 97 & 98 only to return to getting blasted again (Clemson, Nub, Michigan State, kstate stand out).
Pink caught some traction with a lil help from CU and Nub decline but got blasted by Okie and TX even with Chase at QB.
Then we jump to SEC and catch a break with TN, FL not being a top form. UGA was pretty good so Beating them was nice. But then we go to championship and Auburn’s running game blasts MU’s defense for a bunch of points. Then Bama shows us who is daddy the next year. Then we returned to getting blasted by the good teams again. Throw in 2015 telling fans to keep sending money but **** off otherwise and you get slamduncan circa 2022.
Hoops was fun for Gen X with Norm but a lot of tourney flops hurt my psyche. And then Quin ran around doing the cocaine and banging coeds whil firmly establishing the program as the 6th best in B12 before getting run by Gary Link and giving us Clemons fiasco too. Bear wrasslin’ CMA gave us some moments but told us Fayetteville was a prettier girl which brought on the largely ass blasting period of MU hoops.
As crash Davis said at the pitcher’s mound, we’re dealing with a lot of ****.
