Merely due to political circumstances due to the topic. This is not a court that is interested in returning power to the states. They are interested in doing what they can to help make abortion illegal. The gun decision completely showed that. The court tell the other federal courts state case are one of their business and should end at state Supreme Courts unless there are issues that are clearly defined as federal roles in the constitution. Otherwise, it should be defined by state constitutions.
