a serious imbalance where the primary entertainers were being exploited.
NIL rights the ship.
It's not wrong to be an unwitting accomplice in an accepted practice that society was mistakenly pursuing.
Dropping denial that the practice was a mistake, identifying why it was a mistake, and then moving on with a correction is what good common sense people do.
Fighting the realization, adamant denial, demands for the return of the NCAA or for the return of regulation to keep the practice going - that's for people who needed to fight on the side of the south in the Civil War, for people who stood with Big Tobacco during their reign of terror, for people who stand with Big Pharma today as they manage pig farm to death panel, etc. etc. etc.
You either get it, or you're on your way to getting it or you are stuck in denial and remain sleeping.
NIL is 100% a good thing for the sport and for the Mizzou Football program.
That's why leading supporters stepped up and created a collective on their own.
That's why it was relatively easy for the state of Missouri to pass supporting legislation.
The only thing holding up the works is that part of the fanbase who cannot come to grips that the bad old days of exploitation are over.
For whatever reason they are not big enough to be that wrong about doing what they were doing for so many years.
Well, put your big boy pants on, embrace a new level of awareness and stop attacking the core realization that drove the court finding in favor of NIL: College Football was EXPLOITING it's players...
