What is mentally ill is taking young people from certain economic backgrounds and using them for your own personal entertainment.
That's sick.
And the only way you can pretend it's 'normal' and 'not serious at all' is by ignoring what is going on and instead name calling in attempt to distract.
Again - if all the money poured into college football were instead poured into communities around this country to do everything in our power to change perceptions and opportunities, then you'd see a radical decline in the number of young black males choosing football as some sort of 'future'.
Instead the bloodsport is encouraged and our political systems and 'universities' work actively to maintain the status quo.
That they then also behave as if they are helping someone and that the exploited should be thankful is grotesque.
Of course the old robber barons said all of the same things you are saying:
1. These kids are choosing voluntarily.
2. They're getting an education aren't they?
and so on...
It's always amusing to me to watch liberals, when placed in the ownership role, behave exactly like the robber barons and 'evil rich' they always warn us about.
But prove my point, ignore everything I've said here, and continue with your name-calling.
