else can. A child reliant on another person is not a parasite. A fetus that is physically attached is far different. A woman can't attach that fetus to someone else's bloodstream in order to get oxygen and nutrition to survive.

A mother can go out of town and leave their 5 day-old in the care of another human for unlimited amounts of time.
