Why I ***** a lot about MU’s academic focus. For me, it is not unreasonable to say that the most valuable schools in Missouri are MO S&T, Truman State ( Great undergrad education and business school) and State Tech in Linn, MO (for workers that help MO, great tech/vocational school). Mizzou is journalism so Omaha can have a decent sports columnist and then a lot of ? I guess business school is decent (but I would go Truman for undergrad). The med school is vitally important to the state but weren’t they on the verge of accreditation issues a few years ago? Engineering seems to be dominated by Rolla. AG school isn’t what it was when MO had many more farm kids and it’s role was more valuable. Never seen MO rank in IT/computer science. Hopefully these things have or are improving. I think the law school is ok.
