student loans, then you probably shouldn't have gone to a college like MU in the first place.

A bachelors degree from a reputable university will open doors, but to actually *land* a high-paying job you also need to be fairly smart and capable. The degree alone isn't enough.

That's the purpose of standardized college-admission aptitude tests like the ACT and SAT, but the bar has been lowered so much that nowadays pretty much anyone qualifies for 4-year, 6-figure student loan packages — when a lot of those students should be going the trade school route instead.

It's yet another problem created by the federal government (democrats, as always).
