All sorts of people get a degree and are in big time debt like never before. That in many *but not all* cases offsets the supposed higher wages for years.

Of course this is a generalization, but I wouldn't talk any kid not going to college now. I remember the slogan on TV "to get a good job, get a good education." Now that can be said for learning a trade as well.
