440 for car/home use. Same for handhelds. And the obligatory Baofeng dual band just because it's small and does 2M and 440 in one package. And a TYT DMR dual band, plus a Pi-star hotspot for around the house.
Bought a Kenwood HF radio but an antenna was a problem so I went with a longwire that is resonant down to 80M. 137' and strung between the house and a tree just off our property line. And last month a tree branch took out the wire. Ordered another, but it's floating around the ocean off Long Beach like it's on a Carnival cruise.
