office at work was getting his Technician recently, and then was going to try General and Amateur Extra eventually, so I decided I would study with him. I aced the General exam, and they asked if I wanted to take Extra exam. I passed that, too, although I didn't ace it.
Right now I only have an HT that I turn on and use when I do weather spotting. I think the complex where my townhouse is would frown on me putting up an antenna for 10m, much less more fun DX work. Maybe I'll get more active within 2m and 6m. I've been thinking about getting a unit for the car.
