had the body language of a defeated man. Not just defeated in yesterday's game. Like a guy who was ready to throw in the towel on the whole season. I mean, we are 3-4, not 0-7. I realize we haven't beat anyone good, but Drink is starting to resemble a used car salesman.
I remember the first few seasons under Pinkel being pretty rough too but you never got the sense he didn't have a system and a plan. We'd lose a close game and he's be ****ed that fans were celebrating "moral victories".
His first year I believe a reporter showed up to training camp in a Vols cap and he went off on the guy. It felt at the time like Pinkel was trying to create an impression but in hindsight that surly edge to him served him well. We got better, he evolved as a coach (by listening to his players) but he was steady. And the program was steady.
There's a palpable feeling to me that Drink is looking at his players but not inward.
I hope I'm wrong, but it feels like Drink may be a top level recruiter who can't coach.
