where I have a problem is knowing defense was a problem and hiring a DC that appears to be a bad hire and the lack of semi-quality recruiting to shore up the defense that did not happen. You had a whole group of players out there with an additional year and many floating in the portal. Yes, not everyone in the portal was good but there had to be quality somewhere and we didn't really get it. We needed at least on DL, one DE or whatever the equivalent is that we're playing right now. We instead got a LB, well two with Hicks and we'll see if he's better than Aldredge and a couple of DBs for that pass game everyone is running against us. That is where Drinkwitz screwed up. For a guy who's been selling us he has a plan it appears it may be for one side of the ball. And I'm not a Drinkwitz hater. I just feel like I bought the prized virgin and well maybe she shouldn't be wearing a white wedding dress and at worse maybe she worked the truckstop. Drinkwitz is now getting a new evaluation and he had the first one passed.

[EDIT] And we had the JUCO mkt to pull from as well.
