I don't know that it's necessarily a bad thing, especially for the BYU team. I just wonder how this opens things up with other schools.

It basically helps get rid of scholarship restrictions. Now of course Alabama could follow this model and negotiate a partnership that does the same thing and have basically scholarships available for everybody.
