with a protein/energy bar company in which the company will pay every player on the team an amount equal to the cost of tuition, including walk-ons. Scholarship players will basically get that tuition payment as extra cash.

BYU players will wear Built Bar stickers on their practice helmets advertising the bar.

I was under the impression that this whole NIL thing could not be part of the athletics program?

This seems straight up pay for play to me.
