to the expanded playoffs, strength of schedule will most likely be a determining factor.

Big XII champions were not invited to recent playoffs because their SOS was so suspect. There is no way that the PAC would jeopardize maximizing the potential number of invitees from their conference by diluting their SOS in any meaningful way with Big XII nonentities when the playoffs are expanded to 12 teams.
