Q: With streaming becoming the priority, can a national basketball brand like Kansas move the needle enough for inclusion into the Big Ten or Pac-12 — Michael B.

A: Well, look it this way. ESPN+ already holds the rights to stream Kansas basketball. In fact, it carried seven of the Jayhawks’ men’s games last season. And yet, when the Big 12 wanted to go to the table for an extension this spring, with the rights to not just Kansas and Baylor basketball but Oklahoma and Texas football, the network said … sorry, not a high priority for us right now.

So, that’s probably your answer.
