But the data from the BCS era and playoff era is pretty clear. Recruit top 10 every year or you aren’t making it.

Basketball is a different story with 1 or 2 guys being able to make a much bigger impact. It’s the 1 or 2 guys that Cuonzo hasn’t landed. So his teams have been a tournament bubble type of team instead of a final 4 contender. The exception is his second year at Cal. They were a 4 seed in that tournament.
