Jalen Hampton made a statement in Kansas City, putting up big numbers while making his presence felt all over the court. The 6-foot-6 swing showcased an improved jumper on top of his otherwise polished offensive game, and was a pest on defense. The Link Year Prep rising senior rebounded the ball at a high rate (9.0 RPG), displaying the ability to get in the trenches and start the break. Best yet - his consistent play resulted in a 3-1 record for the weekend, including wins over a loaded We All Can Go squad and No. 23 Team Trae Young. Michael Porter Jr's first-year grassroots basketball club is finding a lot of success in 2021, and the emergence of Hampton has been extremely valuable.
