that transfer up every season. When they transfer up into established programs they are used to fill a hole or add depth. We are not doing that with our transfers.
We are getting the second and third tier transfers and then trying to build an entire starting five from them. That is a desperation move that has almost no chance of success.
No one is arguing the value of transfers, or even mid-major transfers, the argument come from what we are trying to do with them.
Today's mid-major transfers are the JUCO players from twenty years ago. Good programs used JUCOs to plug holes and add depth. No successful program was ever built using multiple JUCOs as the base.
