I think your last sentence is complete and utter revisionist history. That may be the case the last year or two but definitely isn't the reason he isn't playing. He would have signed a deal to keep playing within the first two or three years of being out of the league. Teams haven't tried to work with him. That's NFL spin that I don't believe.
