for the fourth quarter. I was teaching Physics and a remedial science for repeat freshmen.
In my physics class 49 of the 50 students logged in regularly, completed assignments and tests and either joined my video sessions or communicated with me through email. Every one of those students, with the one exception, completed the year with the same basic grade they had when we went virtual.
I had slightly over 100 in my remedial class. By the end of the year less than a third were still participating. The average grade in that class dropped almost 20%.
The parents got tried if babysitting them with school and simply let them stop participating.
The divide between haves and have nots is growing exponentially and it is not a wealth Gap it is an education Gap.
