and the CMO's of several organizations. When pushed, they had to admit there is no way we can state with medical certainty the COVID vaccinations are safe in the long term. The claim is being made based on:

- early results being consistent with safe vaccination patterns from other commonly given vaccines and the observations lead to thought this is “safe in general with mostly local reactions and uncommon systemic reactions”

- severe reactions have not been any greater than what the would have anticipated and cannot be tied directly to the vaccine

- immediate risk for many receiving the vaccine outweighs future uncertainty

That actually does not make me feel any better about it. I will take my chances with the 99% odds of handling COVID just fine.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
