to assist me in protecting my rights I would have to do so myself. But what if I were to decide that I had a right to your land too?
Rights are meaningless without the power to secure them. If you do have the power then the rights are whatever you define them to be.
That is why your no government system has never worked anywhere throughout history. Something will fill that void and it will be at the will of the person with the most power. His idea of rights is very unlikely to mesh with yours.
