if the hedge funds are valueless what does holding do?
once things correct themselves, what would that look like (strictly talking about the hedge funds that overextended their short positions) and how does freezing the purchase of the stock artificially impact that result?

if i understand this correctly (and i don't at all have confidence that i do) it seems the hedge funds are already ****ed to the point of being valueless. how is someone buying in gamestop now going to do anything but lose? is there an argument robinhood has a duty to its shareholders to protect themselves? is this distinguishable from product safety labels? i don't mean them directly analogous, of course.
