You can legally use cocaine, but you can't legally buy a straw to snort it through.
You are forbidden by law from pumping your own gas, because it's too dangerous to do it without adequate training.
You can riot in the streets of Portland and try to burn down the federal courthouse without any consequences.
And you can't have your family over for Thanksgiving without risking a year in jail.
