some institutions of learning and private businesses that may require it as a condition of admission/employment, but a federal mandate is highly unlikely.

The flu vaccine is usually about 40-50% effective, because there are many strains and the vaccine producers have to predict which strains are more likely for your area and year and they prepare the vaccine for those strains. I'm guessing that eventually the coronavirus vaccine will be similar to the flu vaccine in that in order to immunized you will have to get a shot once a year, especially in light of the fact that it appears that you get can COVID more than once
