As a parent of school age kids, I'm concerned that the vaccine may go the way of every public education mandate of One Size Fits All, and all are required to participate. The data doesn't support requiring all children to get the vaccine. Should kids who are known to be at-risk based upon the information gathered during the Covid19 outbreak be the vaccine candidates?
When children are involved, a parent would need to be responsible for determining if their child is a part of that at-risk population. An expectation of parental responsibility isn't present in public education, so I would assume every child will be required to take a fast tracked vaccine that more than likely holds a greater likelihood of harming a healthy child than the virus does.
How do you think this will play out? Will kids be kept out of school, sports, etc if the parent doesn't want them to be vaccinated? Disclaimer; my kids are in parochial school, but they tend to follow the local school districts on these types of issues.
