hours when those people work minimum wage jobs"
That sounds like rural America. No buses, no cabs, no subways, no light rail, far from polling places, lots of minimum wage jobs on farms, at the rare gas stations, Walmarts, and fast food restaurants.
Now, I grant you that gas stations, Walmarts, and fast food restaurants typically have multiple shifts, but the greater benefit goes to city dwellers who have buses, cabs, subways, light rail, uber, churches, OATS, NAACP, and others who provide free transportation. They are also much more likely to have a friend close by who would gladly help them get someplace.
So it's pretty much the opposite of what you claim. The truth is, there are a lot of lazy people who make excuses for not taking care of these things, and it's easier to complain and burden shift.
