but I remember him putting a lot of energy into trying to keep an open platform for differing ideas-many of which he didn't agree with. I disagree that 'light moderation based on common sense' would have prevented TB's trajectory- we all think what we believe is common sense and it doesn't jibe with what others believe. Some of the moderators have been the problems themselves, but what right do any of us have to complain-they're not paid for their efforts. There's always been plenty of a-holes and idiots, now I think there are just a lot less people who spend time here. Times change and people grow out of things.
