Time will tell. People with penises are now considered women. Our world-for better or worse- looks very different than we would have imaginged 25 years ago.
The thing I've always respected about Nick was his attitude towards defending a poster's rights to express ideas that were not in agreement with the group's. People used to get so ****ed at John Fante, Kduece, and a bunch of others because they could come to TB and for the most part not be censored in a way they (or us) would be censored on other sites.
I remember Deep Nylon-apparently the guy who ran the kU equivalent of Tigerboard-being allowed to post contrary opinions (and smack) he wouldn't allow in his own forum from anyone from here. That made Tigerboard better IMO. I think Nick has shown a lot of wisdom is allowing things he may not agree with personally so I wouldn't blame him for using double handles to participate in conversations
