STL doesn't have to settle for anything financially, cause embarrassing the NFL through litigation is sweet revenge too.
So the prospect of a court trial is very real for the NFL. Tens of millions won't cut it. Maybe even hundreds of millions won't cut it.
The NFL would be wise to tell St. Louis, you'll get a franchise by 2023 (cause we have the Dome as temp if needed). They'll use the lawsuit money to finance a new stadium for us. We of course, would have to have a local owner willing to step up, but if a free stadium is in the mix, it's a great investment.
But in the end... I doubt STL's fans or politicians have any appetite for an NFL franchise and want the lawsuit instead.
