Doesn't he want to clear his name? It seems now that the FBI and Hillary aren't paying him to compose anti-Trump fables, he's lost interest is talking with representatives of U.S. law enforcement. Sounds like he would rather be indicted in absentia than expose himself to incarceration here in the U.S.
