Trump wanted Ukraine to investigate 2016 election meddling and corruption (which included Burisma and the Bidens), or he really just wanted Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. Impeachment won't work on the former, b/c we had a past admin who stated they also wanted Ukraine to investigate corruption (and withheld aid). There was also a two year investigation into election meddling.
